George VI Six Piece Cased Silver Cruet Set. The set comprises of two mustard pots, two pepper pots and two open salt tubs; all are of hexagonal form. The mustards and the salts have blue glass liners.The blue fitted case with velvet and satin interior featuring the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths London retail stamp.
The mustards, peppers and salts are hallmarked for Birmingham 1951 by the Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. Ltd. The spoons are all hallmarked for Birmingham 1951 by Adie Brothers Ltd. I believe that these are the original spoons to the set.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age. There is no glass damage. Some pitting to the spoons and wear to the cream satin interior.
Approximate total silver weight is 222 grams or 7.1 troy ounces.
