Early 19th Century, Duke of Wellington Victories Copper Box Medal with Paper Disc Inserts. The paper discs feature the individual battles of the Peninsular and French campaigns of the Napoleonic Wars. The cover features a profile of the Duke, whilst the base has a wreath enclosed inscription in praise of him.

The 14 discs (12 of which are two sided) are for:

Rolica & Vimiera August 17th & 21st 1808, Corunna January 16th 1809, Oporto May 12th 1809, Talavera July 27th 1809, Buzaco September 27th 1810, Coimbra October 7th 1810, Fuente De Honor May 5th 1811, Almeida May 11th 1811, Albuhera May 16th 1811, Arroyo Del Molino October 28th 1811, Ciudad Rodrigo January 19th 1812, Badajos April 6th 1812, Almaraz May 19th 1812, Salamanca July 22nd 1812, Castalla May 12th 1813, Vittoria June 21st 1813, Pyrenees July 25 - 28th 1813, St. Sebastian September 9th 1813, Biddafsoa October 9th 1813, Pampeluna October 31st 1813, Neive December 9 - 13th 1813, Orthes February 27th 1814, Barrosa March 5 1814, Toulouse April 10th 1814 & Waterloo June 18th 1815.

The disc that is partially obscured, with another stuck to it is for Madrid August 14th 1812.

The medal box is in excellent condition as are the majority of the paper discs. One has perished and one is stuck to another, so obscuring one side of that disc. Two of the discs would have been only one sided as these would have been glued to the interior of the base and cover of the medal box.

Approximate dimensions are 4.7 cm diameter and 0.7 cm height.
