Victorian silver plated inkstand of trefoil form adorned with facial profiles. Features a large central ribbed glass inkwell of bulbous form. The inkwell sits atop a naturalsitic foliate formation. Each corner is decorated with a striking bearded & moustachioed face terminating in scroll feet.
Marked for Elkington 1857 for The Art Manufacturers Association.
In excellent condition with light surface wear, commensurate with age. Free of dents and splits. No damage to the glass.
