Elizabeth II Silver RAF Presentation Salver for Air Vice Marshall J. E. Johnson. Chippendale style rim and raised on four hoof feet.

Air Vice Marshal James Edgar "Johnnie" Johnson CB, CBE, DSO & Two Bars, DFC & Bar, DL was the RAF's top scoring fighter pilot of the Second World War. His record was 34 enemy aircraft destroyed, 7 shared destroyed, 3 probable destroyed, 10 damaged and 1 shared dstroyed on the ground. He flew over 700 sorties, engaging the enemy on 57 occasions. This salver was presented to him on the occasion of his retirement.

Hallmarked for London 1962 by Garrard & Co. Ltd. Features the Garrard London retail stamp.

In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Any marks shown in the photos are just ceiling reflections.
