Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Argyle, circa 1800. Raised on a circular pedestal foot with beaded detail. The domed pull off cover with disc & orb finial. Composite loop handle and short spout. The Argyle would have been used to serve gravy and would originally have held a hot water tube inside the main body.
In very good condition with some light copper bleed. Traces of solder marks at the top of the pedestal base. Free of dents and creases.
Approximate weight is 299 grams.
