Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Wine Jug, circa 1780 - 1800. Of baluster form on a short pedestal circular foot. Part panel fluted with beaded detail and a wooden handle with leaf mount to the terminal. The domed and part fluted hinged cover with ball finial.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. There is a pin hole to the underside of the base, but it does not affect use, or leak, as the jug is double skinned.
Approximate weight is 687 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 30 cm height, 18 cm handle to spout length and 10.5 cm depth.
