Georgian, early George III, large pair of silver sauce boats of plain form. Each stands on three shell capped hoof feet with double scroll handles.
Each is hallmarked to the underside for London 1762. The maker's mark looks to be that of George Smith I, but there is no pellet visble on the sauce boats. The mark on the sauce boats has two canted corners on the right side, which is identical to George Smith I's mark.
Condition for both is excellent with very light surface wear commensurate with age.
Approximate weight for the pair is 668 grams or 21.4 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions of one is 19.5 cm length, 12.5 cm height and 10.5 cm depth.
