Georgian, George III, openwork silver cream pail featuring scrolls and foliate detail, with a vacant cartouche. The ropework bale handle is fixed on two pivots and is a little loose to stay fully upright.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. The blue glass liner is probably a replacement and there is no glass damage.
Faded hallmarks to the body for London 1776. Only the second letter of the maker's mark is visible (P).
Approximate silver weight is 142 grams or 4.5 troy ounces. Approximate weight including glass is 385 grams.
