George III Silver Coffee Pot. Armorial for Vice-Admiral Sir Robert Tristram Rickets. Of cylindrical form, raised on a wide circular foot. Part fluted detail to the body and pull off cover. Wooden handle and finial.
Vice-Admiral Ricketts (1782-1842). A Baronetcy was created for him in 1828. He fought in the Napoleonic Wars and commanded the Ville de Paris, Hibernia, San Joseph & Vengeur. A heraldry report accompanies this item.
