Victorian Silver Plated Neo-Classical Pedestal Comport / Tazza, Elkington & Co, circa 1870 - 1880. The upper section features panels of classical scenes surrounding a central motif of a charioteer with his four horses. The ornate supporting column again features classical scenes and rams head masks. The comport is raised on a profusely decorated circular foot. The lower part of the supporting column unscrews from the upper part and dish.
In very good condition with no loss of silver plate and no dents or creases. There are four small holes to the underside of the dish section. This does not show unless looking underneath.
Marked to the underside for Elkington.
