The rims with scroll detail.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRaised as a cavalry regiment in 1715 in response to the Jacobite Rebellion. The regiment also saw service during the Peninsular Wars. During the Battle of Waterloo the regiment charged many times, completely routing a square of French infantry. During the Crimean War the regiment fought at the Battle of Alma, the Charge of the Light Brigade and the Battle of Balaclava. In 1861 it was designated as the 13th Hussars. It fought in the Second Afghan War, Boer War and First World War. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age and regimental dining use. The regimental badges are both very faded.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBoth are hallmarked for London 1840. Each dish bears the name of B.
