Art Nouveau Silver Plated Ink Blotter. Plewkiewicz of Warsaw (WMF), circa 1890 - 1910. The Plewkiewciz factory was established in 1886 as a subsidiary of WMF.
The blotter is in two parts with the lower section sliding out to allow blotter paper to be wrapped around it. The handle features a stylised female with sinuous lines flowing onto the base of the blotter terminating in foliate detail.
In very good condition with moderate to high surface wear commensurate with age. The blotter has a nice patina.
Approximate weight is 257 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 12 cm length, 7 cm width and 6.5 cm height.
