1865 Battle of Waterloo 50th Anniversary Dutch Commemorative High Relief Plaque.
Of circular form in an ebonised frame. A domed glass cover over the finely detailed silver plated high relief scene of the Duke of Wellington, Marshal Blucher and the Prince of Orange (later King William II of the Netherlands) on the field of battle.
The top of the relief detail shows the Lion of Waterloo with the date in Roman numerals. The aftermath of the battle can clearly be seen with injured soldiers depicted.
In excellent condition with no glass damage. Some tarnishing to the silver plate.
Approximate dimensions are 26 cm diameter and 4.5 cm height.
Approximate weight is 890 grams.
