Early 19th Century Continental White Metal and Carved Mother of Pearl Box. The white metal with reeded detail and a hinged cover.
Approximate weight is 56 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 6.2 cm diameter and 2.7 cm height.
In fair to good condition with damage to a section of the mother of pearl cover, as per the photos (photos 5 and 8 show this best). It would appear that a small piece of the cover broke off and was glued back into place. It is less visible from the outside of the box, but can be felt as the damaged piece sits slightly lower than the rest of the carving. There is a small crease to the white metal rim in this area as well. The white metal and hinge are in good order with light pressure marks. The mother of pearl base is in very good order. Faded detail to the carved picture.
