A Late 18th, or Early 19th century, French Silver Oval Snuff Box. The cover with central musical trophy motif surrounded by ornate engraved detail. The side with engraved bands of ornate patterns. The underside with central lozenge.
Features the 950 silver mark for Paris 1798 - 1809 and the Paris guarantee mark.
Approximate weight is 42 grams or 1.3 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 6.8 cm, 3.9 cm width and 2.1 cm height.
In good condition being free of dents and creases. There is a split where the side meets the base (photos 6 and 7). Slight gap on the left side when the cover is closed. The hinge is in good order.
