Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Shield Shaped Coffee Pot, circa 1790. Features beaded detail, wooden handle and a disc finial.
In very good original condition, free of inscriptions and erasures. The coffee pot has not been replated. There are two areas of solder at the top of the spout base, where it joins the body of the pot (photos 4, 5 and 7). There is some higher wear to the surface below the top rim. Free of dents, creases and splits.
Approximate dimensions are 30 cm height and 21 cm handle to spout length.
Approximate weight is 863 grams.
