Georgian, George III, Silver Toddy Ladle. The bowl is of shaped oval form with a single pouring lip. A tubular socket extends from the bowl and supports a turned wooden handle. There are initials of S I or I S to the underside of the bowl.

Hallmarked for London 1787 with the maker's mark of W.S. There are four silversmiths who used this mark during this period so it cannot be attributed to one in particular.

In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Some wear to the bowl interior where the bowl meets the socket.

Approximate weight is 46 grams.

Approximate dimensions are 28 cm length and 8.5 cm bowl length.
