A George III Old Sheffield Plate Warming Dish, circa 1810. Of small proportions with twin reeded handles and ornate handle terminals. The domed cover with foliate finial can be left in an open position, or fully removed. The gadrooned serving dish is very shallow and possibly for bacon or eggs. This dish lifts fully clear of the base, which has a reservoir to hold hot water. This item is ready to use.

In very good and original condition. The dish has not been replated. Some wear to the rolled over silver edges of the cover. Light pressure marks to the base of the serving dish and wear to the interior of the base.

Approximate weight is 1.03 kilos.

Approximate dimensions are 27 cm length, 16 cm width and 7 cm height.
