An Arts & Crafts Cigarette Box made using Copper from HMS Britannia Cadet Training Ship. She was moored in Dartmouth from 1869 - 1905. Launched in 1860 as a 121 Gun Line-Of-Battle Three Decker. The future king George V was a naval cadet on HMS Britannia. The ship was notorious for bullying and the future king was not spared. She started life in 1860 as  HMS Prince of Wales and renamed HMS Britannia in 1869.

The box has a cedar lined interior and comes with a hand written note from a naval cadet who was at Osborne College, Dartmouth in 1905. Of classic arts and crafts form with rivet detail visible.

In good condition being free of repair and any major issues. There is very high surface wear, pitting and pressure marks, as per the photographs.

Approximate weight is 620 grams.
