John Fergus was a Whig MP, active from 1835 until 1859. Amelia Robertson Hill was a well known Scottish artist, responsible for the statue of David Livingstone in Edinburgh and Robert Burns in Dumfries. She contributed three figures to the Scott Monument.
In very good condition with no damage or losses, some age related discolouration to the plaster.
