Louis Philippe I (1773 - 1850) of France Burr Wood Snuff Box with Portrait Profile Inset Medallion. The medallion commemorates his accession to the French throne on 7th August 1830. He ruled until 1848, when he abdicated following a further French Revolution, which saw the Second Republic proclaimed.
Approximate weight is 45 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 6.8 cm diameter and 2.5 cm depth.
In good condition with moderate wear to the gilt metal roundel and burr wood box. A couple of very minor flea bite nibbles to the cover edge. The faux tortoiseshell interior without loss or damage. Very minor gap when the box and cover in the closed position.
