The Allied Sovereigns of Europe 1814, Curved Pewter Portrait Snuff Box, circa 1814.

The 1814 Treaty of Chaumont regulated the Sixth Coalition (Austria, Prussia, Russia and Britain) into a united force against Napoleon, to reduce the borders of France to those of before the French Revolution. The 1814 Treaty of Paris formally ended the War of the Sixth Coalition, part of the Napoleonic Wars. The 1814-15 Congress of Vienna followed the two earlier treaties and reorganised Europe after the defeat of Napoleon Bonaparte.

The four allied leaders depicted on this snuff box are Tsar Alexander I of Russia, Frederick William III of Prussia, Emperor Francis I of Austria and George III of Britain.
