19th Century Silver Plate on Copper Ale Jug with 1770 Halfpenny Coin Inset. In the Georgian style with a scrolled handle and open work thumb grip. The domed cover with a wide rim and inset coin. Of bellied form with a short spout.
In excellent condition with areas of copper bleed. The coin is largely rubbed, but the date and head of George III are clear enough to see.
Approximate weight is 577 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 17 cm handle to spout length, 13 cm height and 11.5 cm depth.
