A William III Britannia Silver Porringer. Of Traditional Half Gadrooned/Fluted Form, with Reeded, Later Chased and Embossed Detail with Two Reeded Scroll Handles and Two vacant Cartouches.
Hallmarked for London 1697 by Seth Lofthouse.
Approximate weight is 407 grams or 13 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 21.5 cm handle to handle length, 13.8 cm top rim diameter/depth and 12 cm height.
In good condition with later 19th century chased detail to the upper half. The fluted detail and the banded pattern above it are almost certainly original. Remains of lacquer to the surface. Free of dents, creases and splits. The top rim slightly misshapen.
