An Edwardian Art Nouveau silver and cut glass double inkstand. Features two graduated cut glass ink bottles, each with an identical monogram. The inkstand base in a stylised Art Nouveau form.
Each piece is clearly hallmarked for Birmingham 1905 by A&Co (Asprey & Co). The collars and the lids of the bottles all have matching hallmarks. The date letter on the inkstand is slightly rubbed.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. There is no damage to the glass inkwells, save for some staining to the silver on the inside of the cover mounts. The centre of the underisde of the inkstand slightly raised, but this may be a dsign feature.
Approximate silver weight is 279 grams or 8.9 troy ounces.
