George VI Silver Inkstand. Of shaped rectangular form with central inkwell and pen rest. A raised and reeded border standing upon four bun feet.
Hallmarked to the underside for Birmingham 1938 by Asprey & Co. Ltd. Features the Asprey London retail stamp. Further part hallmarked to the inkwell base and cover.
In excellent condition with very light surface wear. There is no glass or silver damage. Possibly one replacement nut to the underside.
Approximate silver weight is 342 grams or 10.9 troy ounces.
