George VI silver silent butler with turned wooden handle. Made in the Georgian style, the slightly domed cover features a ball finial and the top rim is gadrooned. Originaly used for household staff to collect tobacco ash, it now makes for an excellent butter dish.
In excellent condition with light surface wear. A couple of tiny pressure marks, but nothing that warrants any repair.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for Birmingham 1939 by Asprey & Co. Ltd. Part hallmarked to the cover and features the Asprey London retail stamp.
Approximate total weight is 188 grams or 6 troy ounces.
