Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Candlestick, circa 1785. The base with fluted and beaded detail. The tapering stem with reeded detail. An urnular part fluted sconce and a removable nozzle with ornate border. From the collection of Gordon Crosskey and illustrated on page 424 of 'Old Sheffield Plate, A History of the 18th century Plated Trade'.

Unmarked, but attributed to John Parsons & Co.

In excellent condition with moderate surface wear and areas of copper bleed. Light pressure marks. Free of any repairs.
