Georgian, George III, Set of Four Old Sheffield Plate Candlesticks, circa 1800. Raised on oval bases with part fluted and reeded detail. The tapered stem, shoulder and urnular sconce with part fluted detail. The oval removable nozzles with reeded detail.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Small areas of very light copper bleed, mainly to the raised fluted detail. The candlesticks all stand straight and are free of any major dents and creases. there are light pressure marks around the edge of the base. Three of the four nozzles sit loosely in their sconces, but will not move when in the upright position. Two of the bases are uncovered, showing the resin filling.
Approximate weight of all four candlesticks is 2.6 kilos.
Approximate dimensions of one are 27 cm height and 14.5 cm base length.
