Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Bougie Box, circa 1770. Of plain cylindrical form. Would have held a coiled wax candle to use for light when travelling and to melt sealing wax.
Approximate weight is 79 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 7.5 cm height and 4.5 cm diameter.
Condition is excellent with a couple of solder marks to the underside of the base and areas of copper bleed on the borders.
