Georgian, George III, Silver Snuff Box. Of rectangular form with faded gilding to the front cover. The cover with a raised foliate border surrounding engine turned detail and a vacant plaque. The underside with engine turned detail.
Hallmarked for Birmingham 1813 by Matthew Linwood.
In excellent condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. The box opens and closes well and is free of repairs. There is a very tiny gap between the base and cover when in the closed position.
Approximate weight is 92 grams or 2.9 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 7.8 cm length, 4.7 cm width and 2 cm depth.
