The Death of the Duke of Wellington Medal Snuff Box. Of circular ebonised form with the obverse of the 1852 Allen & Moore medal to the cover and the reverse to the base. The legend on the reverse of the medal reads ' He subdued India and liberated Europe'. 'Born May 1 1769 Died Sepr 14 1852' and 'Waterloo' with crossed flags.
Approximate weight is 87 grams.
Approximate dimensions are 5.5 cm diameter and 3 cm height.
In excellent condition with some medal wear. The box has little wear and probably dates to the second half of the 20th century.
