Elkington silver plated on copper inkstand commemorating The Great Exhibition of 1851 in Hyde Park. The flate surface features nine vignettes of various craftsmen and the outer rim with the names of celebrated artisans of the day. These names form a ribbon effect border. The inkwell is in the form of a globe embellished with ribbons and the words:

"Exhibition of Industry of all Nations in London 1851".

The rim of the inkstand is also inscribed:

"Published as the act directs by Henry Elkington February 20 1851".

In excellent order with no dents or creases. The inkwell liner is not original.
