Victorian Pair of Silver Plated Neo-Classical Candlesticks. Each candlestick is raised on a heavily beaded square base adorned with swags and rams masks. The stem has spiralled bell flowers throughout. The sconce has scroll and swag detail whilst the removable nozzles are beaded.
The candlesticks are monogrammed and are from the family of Baron Monson of Burton, Lincoln.
Both candlesticks are marked for Elkington with the date letter F for 1891.
Overall condition is excellent with no loss of silver plate. The candlesticks were adaped for electricity but the holes in the base side wall are now covered by a silver plaque. The base covering for one is missing. Light surface wear commensurate with age. The corner scroll of one sconce ever so slightly pushed down.
Approximate weight for the pair is 2.6 kilos.
