Victorian Silver Plated Soup Tureen with Insignia of 2nd Battalion 14th Foot West Yorkshire Regiment. They were later retitled as the 2nd Battalion The West Yorkshire Regiment. Raised on a spreading oval foot with leaf capped twin handles. The border is heavily beaded and the domed cover features a naturalistic loop handle with beaded border.
In excellent condition with moderate surface wear to the exterior and more heavier wear to the interior. The regimental insignia are quite worn. A little loss of silver plate in small patchy areas.
The base has rubbed marks for Elkington, Mason & Co. 1858.
