Georgian, George IV, Crested Old Sheffield Plate Soup Tureen, circa 1820. Raised on four leaf capped scroll feet with twin leaf capped handles. The domed cover with loop handle upon a base of leaves and the tureen with a heavily gadrooned rim. The tureen and cover both feature rubbed in silver squares with a bird crest. The cover with rolled over silver wire edges.
The cover features the crossed arrows mark of T & J Creswick of Sheffield.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. Small portion of silver wire missing from cover rim. Free of dents and creases.
