Georgian Old Sheffield Plate Sauce Tureen & Cover, circa 1810 - 1830. Raised on four paw feet with twin handles emerging from leaf mounts. Gadrooned detail to the tureen border. The cover with a removable loop handle and ornate lead filled silver border. The tureen and cover with rolled over silver edges.
In very good condition with moderate surface wear commensurate with age and use as a serving dish. Small areas of warm copper bleed. The base of the handle is offset at a slight angle to the handle. The item is free of dents, splits, solder and creases.
