Georgian , George IV, Silver Dessert Cutlery for Six. Of Kings Pattern form. The case would have originally held cutlery for twelve persons.
Each knife blade and fork tine, except one, are hallmarked for Sheffield 1830 by Henry Atkin & John Oxley (one fork is by Aaron Hadfield / Hatfield, Sheffield 1830). The handles, except one, are also all marked for Sheffield 1830 by Atkin & Oxley (one by Aaron Hadfield / Hatfield, Sheffield 1830). The handles and collars are one piece. The Aaron Hadfield / Hatfield fork tine is slightly narrower.
In excellent order with light surface wear to the cutlery commensurate with age. Moderate wear to the handles. The case is in fair conditionand protects the cutlery. It doesn't quite shut flush and has marking to the top surface. The burgundy velvet interior is in good order.
