A George IV Set of Silver Handled Dessert Knives & Forks for Eight Persons with Original Close (Fused) Plated Blades/Tines. All pieces are crested with a lion rampant and the handles are of Kings pattern form.
All of the knife and fork handles are hallmarked for Sheffield 1823 by Aaron Hadfield. The tines and blades all appear to be the original close, or fused, plate.
All blades and tine stems are firmly held in place. The filled silver handles are all in very good condition with moderate surface wear. There are no major dents or creases to the handles. The close plated blades and tines all have good definition with some losses to the thin silver layer over the steel.
Not for dishwasher use. Wash only in lukewarm water.
