Victorian canteen of silver plated Kings pattern knives & forks for 12, in original fitted oak case by Mappin Brothers. Mappin Brothers ceased trading under this name in 1899.  A great canteen, ready for the dinner table. The interior of the case features two Mappin Brothers retail stamps for Regent Street and Cheapside. The case also features a vacant shield cartouche.

11 out of the 12 knife blades are marked for Mappin Brothers.

10 out of the 12 forks are marked for Mappin Brothers.

Condition of the blades and tines are excellent. There is some wear to the handles. There will be signs of use and surface wear. The case is in good order with a lovely patina and age related wear.

Approximate total weight, including the case, is 2.35 kilos.
