Cased set of Dutch silver cake or pastry forks. This set, in its original fitted case, dates to the first half of the 20th century. Each fork is chased with scroll decoration and has an orb finial.
The silver forks are in excellent condition. There is moderate wear to the fitted case and it only has one clasp.
Each fork is marked with a sword and B1V. The sword mark denotes a minimum silver purity of 833 parts per 1000 silver content. The mark of B1V is for the silversmith, M. Bijkamp & Co. of Steenwijk.
Approximate cased weight is 378 grams.
Approximate silver weight is 138 grams or 4.4 troy ounces.
Approximate fork dimension is 11.8 cm length and 1.6 cm tine width.
