Georgian, George II, silver coffee pot of tapering cylindrical form with a domed and hinged cover. Wooden disc finial and wooden scroll handle. Leaf capped spout and crested to one side.
Rubbed hallmarks to the main body for London 1752 by Thomas Whipham. Above the English hallmarks is a very small French import mark, showing that it was imported into France at some point between 1864 and 1893.
Condition is excellent with moderate surface wear commensurate with age and a very slightly misshapen base rim.
Approximate weight is 716 grams, or 23 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 24 cm height, 20 cm handle to spout length and 10.5 cm base diameter.
