Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Hot Water Jug, circa 1775 - 1800. Of plain baluster form with no later engraving or monograms. Features a rattan covered handle and gadrooned borders. Raised on a spreading circular foot with a domed and hinged cover with turned finial.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. A small gap exists in the rattan covered handle towards the area where it joins with the cover. Free of dents, creases and splits. Some solder to the underside of the base.
Approximate weight is 756 grams.
