Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Pedestal Coffee Biggin, circa 1800. Raised on a gadrooned circular foot. The domed pull off cover with ball finial and a composite loop handle. In original unengraved condition with no replating. The interior contains a loop from which a mesh filter can be suspended.
In excellent condition with slight (about 4 mm) loss of silver wire to the foot, above the gadrooned area. Light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents and creases.
