Georgian, George II, Silver Hot Water Jug. Of baluster form with a ratan covered handle. The domed and hinged cover with an ornate turned finial. Later chased detail of swirl fluting, beading and leaf detail. Raised on a circular collet foot. Monogram to the underside of the base.
Hallmarked to the underside of the base for London 1759 by Thomas Whipham & Charles Wright. Further part hallmarked to the inside of the cover with the lion passant.
In very good condition with light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents and creases.
Approximate weight is 669 grams or 21.5 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 25 cm height, 17 cm handle to spout length and 12 cm depth.
