Georgian, George III, Silver Coffee Pot. Of baluster form with a composite scroll handle. The domed and hinged cover with flame finial. Raised on a circular gadrooned foot. Engraved with a vacant rococo foliate cartouche. Cast rococo spout and gadrooned rim.
Hallmarked for London 1768 by Thomas Whipham & Charles Wright. Further part hallmarked to the cover with the lion passant.
In excellent order with light surface wear commensurate with age. No evidence of any erasure within the vacant cartouche. There is a bumpy area to the left of the spout with some thinning. It does not show in any photographs and will not affect display, but can be felt.
Approximate weight is 855 grams or 27.4 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 27.5 cm height, 22 cm handel to spout length and 10.5 cm depth.
