An unusually heavy Georgian, George III, Silver Coffee Pot. Of baluster form on a spreading circular foot. The upper rim with gadrooned, shell and scroll detail. The domed and hinged cover with ornate orb finial. The silver handle with ivory heat spacers. The foot rim with gadrooned detail. Free of any engravings or inscriptions, in fine original condition.
Hallmarked to the foot for Sheffield 1814 by S. C. Younge & Co. The handle is further part hallmarked. The cover is not hallmarked, but the hinge is flush fitted.
In excellent condition with very light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents and creases.
Approximate total weight is 1.242 kilos or 39.9 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 24.5 cm height, 24.5 cm handle to spout length and 13 cm depth.
