Georgian, George III, Silver Hot Water Jug. Of baluster form with gadrooned borders and a lion crest. The hinged and domed cover with a beaded urnular finial. The handle with a rattan covering. Raised on a circular foot.
Hallmarked for London 1774 by Charles Wright.
In excellent order with light surface wear and clouding marks commensurate with age. Loss of rattan handle covering in the uppermost section and some clear tape covering loose strands.
Approximate weight is 701 grams or 22.5 troy ounces.
Approximate dimensions are 27.5 cm height, 18 cm handle to spout length and 10.5 cm depth.
