Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate, Lion Mask Handle Tureen, circa 1800. Of oval form with twin lion mask ring handles at either end. A domed cover with turned finial. The tureen, most probably for sauces, has a removable liner and is crested. Reeded detail to the top rim.

In good condition with no dents. Moderate to high surface wear commensurate with age and some copper bleed. 

Approximate weight is 429 grams.

Approximate dimensions are 15.5 cm length, 10 cm width and 10.5 cm height.
