Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate, Lion Mask Handle Tureen, circa 1800. Of oval form with twin lion mask ring handles at either end. A domed cover with turned finial. The tureen, most probably for sauces, has a removable liner and is crested. Reeded detail to the top rim.
In good condition with no dents. Moderate to high surface wear commensurate with age and some copper bleed.
