Georgian, George III, Old Sheffield Plate Armorial Meat Dome. With gadrooned and reeded detail. The removable leaf capped loop handle resting on a bed of leaves. Each side with a rubbed in silver square and armorial.
The Arms are those of Archibald. A heraldry report accompanies this item.
Marked inside the dome with the twin sun mark for Matthew Boulton, circa 1800 - 1820.
In excellent order with very light surface wear commensurate with age. Free of dents and creases. The item has not been replated and is in particularly good order for a meat dome of this age. There are no cloudy, firescale, marks and no areas of copper bleed. The item is also Sheffield Plated on the interior and there are a few pitting marks here.
